Buckingham University is the only independent university in the UK with a Royal Charter, and probably the smallest with around 1000 students. Honours degrees are achieved in two intensive years of study.
The University campus is well known for being one of the most attractive locations in the region. With students from around 90 different countries attending Buckingham at any one time, it has been compared to a mini global village.
The University has a a high graduate employment rate. In July 2009, The Times Higher Education reported that 100% of the 2007-2008 cohort went on to work or further study. Graduates have gone on to further study at most of the world’s leading universities, including Harvard, London, Oxford and Cambridge and secured jobs in senior positions around the world
